Join us for our inaugural FLH Homeschool Conference! Our keynote speaker is Kim Murphy, who homeschooled three now-grown children here in New York State. Workshops cover topics to do with new homeschooling, overcoming barriers to homeschooling, and stretching your homeschooling into new territories. There is something for everyone, from the person still weighing the pros and cons to the person who has been at it for awhile! Come at 8:30 to browse and interact with vendors from the area. Homeschool New York March Albany Day: Letter of Substantial Equivalence Focus

At our Albany Day on Monday, March 11, we'll be focusing on the Letter of Substantial Equivalence Bill, which is good timing considering the flurry of activity around this bill toward the end of last week! We'll have Houghton speaking mid-day (kind of a lunch-and-learn) about college in general, admissions, dual enrollment, etc. And, we'll have TeenPact first thing in the morning, briefly outlining their program. The meeting schedule is still coming together, and we'll be visiting the offices of key committee members as we seek to advance this bill. Plus, if there are follow-up meetings for the Sports Bill, we'll have those, too!

2024 Maine Home Education Week

During the week of May 5-11, 2024, homeschoolers will celebrate the 37th Annual Maine Home Education Week! To mark the occasion, homeschoolers will gather at Pineland Farms on May 7 for one of two programs, "Dairy Discovery" and/or "Farmyard Exploration." Then, we will gather at Cole Land Transportation Museum on May 9 for one of two programs, "Junior Curator" or "Veteran Interview."
