Homeschool Alabama (formerly Christian Home Education Fellowship of Alabama or CHEF) was founded in 1988 by a group of volunteers who banded together to support the fledgling home education movement in Alabama. Homeschool Alabama maintains an office, phone, and website so new homeschoolers or folks who move to Alabama from other states have a place to find out about Alabama state law and local support groups.
