Homeschoolers of Maine (HOME) is the premier non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting homeschooling in the State of Maine. HOME is a 501(c)3 non-profit, ministry-based organization, and was founded in 1990 on the belief that all families have a God-given and constitutional right and responsibility to direct the education of their children, regardless of their educational philosophy or religious affiliation. HOME defines homeschooling as home-based education that is both parent-led and privately funded.
