DESCRIPTION:Kansas homeschool families are invited to join us at the Capitol for the annual Homeschool Capitol Day on Thursday\, Feb. 6\, beginning at 10 a.m. Hosted by KSHE\, MPE\, and CHECK. \nHighlights of your Capitol Day field trip can include: \n\nHelping distribute sweet treats and homeschool fact sheets to legislators\nMeeting personally with your own state legislators (make appointment prior)\nTouring the Capitol and the Dome\nObserving the legislature in action\nLearning from legislators and others about how Kansas government works\n\nBuilding a positive relationship with our state legislators will help keep homeschools thriving in Kansas. Meeting up for Homeschool Capitol Day provides the encouraging presence of other homeschool families as well as many firsthand educational experiences!
