We’re a non-profit organization established in 1996 by homeschooling families, dedicated to informing, encouraging, and supporting the homeschooling families in New Mexico. We are also dedicated to protecting parents’ rights, and believe that the liberty of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children is a fundamental right. We are funded by supporting families and donations.

CAPE-NM provides an annual homeschool convention in Albuquerque, with dynamic speakers and many curriculum exhibitors from all over the nation. We also provide you with up-to-date information on NM law which affects home education in our state.

The CAPE-NM homeschool convention will be marking its 27th anniversary by encouraging, supporting and informing homeschoolers of New Mexico. You’ll be encouraged by the many speakers, will have plenty of resources available at the exhibit hall, and you’ll get lots of fellowship time with other homeschooling families!

For those who are thinking of homeschooling or those just starting, this is the class for you! An in-depth extensive workshop with everything from why homeschool to how to homeschool. For those who have homeschooled a few years it can also be helpful to be inspired as well as get a few new ideas.
